Analysis of Common Malfunctions in Gear Pumps

Let's analyze some common causes of gear pump failures for everyone:

1、 If the gear pump does not produce oil, the first thing to check is whether the rotation direction of the wheel pump is correct. We all know that the wheel pump has left and right rotation. If the rotation direction is incorrect, there will be some volume difference, which will cause the oil seal to be damaged and leak oil; On the other hand, you can check if there is any blockage in the oil inlet port of the gear pump.

2、 The oil seal has been flushed out, which may be due to the incorrect rotation direction of the pump, resulting in high-pressure oil directly flowing to the oil seal; Or the gear pump bearings are subjected to axial forces; It is also possible that the gear pump is subjected to excessive radial forces.

3、 The flow rate of the gear pump does not meet the standard, which may be due to the dirty oil inlet filter and insufficient oil suction; It is also possible that the oil suction pipe is too thin, causing high oil suction resistance; It may even be due to air leakage at the oil suction port joint causing insufficient oil suction in the oil pump.
